How to Configure Huawei Router as a Wireless Access Point

How to configure your Adsl Huawei Router as a wireless access point. Specialty in Qatar most of People has ooredoo Qtel router. I will tell you how to setup Huawei Router to wireless access point.



1.Firstly Reset your router, take same pin push and hold the reset button. It is located Router left side



2.Change your LAN of WLAN IP Address to 192.168.1.... range   Eg: 192.168.1.45 Sub net mask 255.255.255.0



3.Connect your Ethernet Cable Cat 6 Cable or Connect to router via WIFI. After reset Router SSID start with normally BB_ and router key You can see router back Side.



4.Type 192.168.1.1 on your web browser.



5. Enter user name "admin"  and password admin.



6.Now You can See the setup Window chick Next -----Next----Next----Submit



7.Click basic tab and then click ATM tab, then Check all Interfaces configuration under the ATM connection and remove all configuration. Do the same thing to PTM and WAN



8. Go to ATM TAB Press + Button and add 8 ,35 For the VPI,VCI then chick submits.



9. Go to the WAN tab and click all LAN port.



10. Click SSID1 Click in check box.



11. Click Connection Type Drop down mane and select IP_ Bridge.



12.Click DHCP Transparent transmission and click submit button.



13.Go to WLAN Tab and change your SSID  Router name and password.



14. Now router is automatically restarted. Again Log to router Using New Password.If u no need to change router password Please skip the step



15. Go to LAN tab, untick the DHCP Option pool Button, then untick DHCP Server.



16. Change IP Address 192.168.1....range  Eg 192.168.1.100



17. If you are going to use this router in qatar with OOredOO Fiber WIFI, You have change IP address 192.168.100.100.



18. Finally buy CAT 6 Remade Cable from super market, and one side connect to your main router any port Cisco Linksys only Qatar and connect to your Huawei Router any port. You can buy cat 6 cable from Lulu, Ansar Gallery, city center, safari mall



19. Now Search your new router name and enter your new password and Surf internet with your new WIFI access Point.
